Emperor's New Clothes
05:03
|
|||
Long time ago the seed was laid
For fear and hate
To dominate
By selfisness and
Ruthless egoism
It's almost impossible to believe your own eyes
Yes we choose them
As our leaders
Gave them power
Now the whole world is on it's knees before you.
Needing a savior
But still you are too blind to see
Nothing but your own glory
As the disaster becomes a norm
Behold emperors new clothes
Nation divided
Scars run deep
Nothing left to believe
Discontent like a disease
Feels so familiar
To get deceived
With empty promises
And endless enemies
Now face the reality
They had never but their own interest in their minds
Now the whole world is on it's knees before you.
Needing a savior
But still you are too blind to see
Nothing but your own glory
As the disaster becomes a norm
Behold emperors new clothes
Is this the way? we want to take?
We must take back what's ours!
Now the whole nation has risen to riot
all against you.
But still you are too blind to see
Nothing but your own glory
As the disaster becomes a norm
Behold emperors new clothes

Happiest Country
03:20
|

Swallowed by the darkness
For most of the year
Drowned by stress at work
meds don't feel sincere
But the company of the bottle
Therapy we all know
No wonder that we have a word
For getting drunk alone
We are known as silent
And we keep ourselves modest
But there is plenty of violence
In relationships to be honest
Our corruption and sorrow
Doesn't always meet the eye
when grief gets overwhelming
We take our lives
It's jackpot to be born
In the happiest country in the world
So declares the UN's report
For the third time in a row
I wish i could feel the same or
Even witness it around
But honestly this all just feels
Like another pr stunt
No greeting between neighbors
Low wages for the labor
Our system seems to favor
Rich leeches without honor
Some say the key to our joy
Is low population so
some want to close the boarders
From all the refugees
But after all
Don't forget where you are from
But after all
This is the place where i belong
It's jackpot to be born
In the happiest country in the world
So declares the UN's report
For the third time in a row
I wish i could feel the same or
even witness it around
But honestly this all just feels
Like another pr stunt

Treehouse

From an old treehouse – I found a child
Who wore frayed clothes on his skinny bones
From the shade of light, he looked me in the eyes
Told me not to worry: “He’ll come get me before the bedtime story”
Boy told me a tale
About a stranger who came
“A new land, full of riches” - he had said
And so, the man had left under the stranger's shade
He had eaten those lies
To fulfill the needs of life
He sought a way to hide
Regret weighing inside
He had fed those lies
To escape the fears of mind
Invent the gear of all times
Change the stage of life
By chasing those tales
And painting those frames
The footpaths of the mind, slowly crumbled away
By catching those tales
And looking through those frames
He realized, there had been a smirk on the stranger’s face
Leaning on a decaying wall
Boy crossed his arms over his knees
Told me not to worry: “He’ll come get me before his bedtime story”
In an old treehouse – there was a man
